Yes, there is a consultation fee that reflects the medical expertise and time involved. This fee is credited toward your treatment should you proceed.
Most treatments have minimal downtime. Botox allows immediate return. Dermal fillers may cause mild swelling for 1-2 days. More intensive treatments require a few days.
